The NP JV Cougars played a tough match tonight, losing by a score of 4 - 0 to the Huskies of Saint Joe. The first half was bookended by Husky goals. The Huskies scored in the first minute and the last minute of the half. However, the middle 33 minutes was a competitive back and forth game that saw both teams create opportunities and also play some tough defense. Marco Gordillo played very well on the wing, and the midfield was anchored by Owen Gosciniak, who played very tough defense but also surged forward creating scoring opportunities. The 2nd half saw more tough play, with the Cougars keeping the score 2 - 0 for the first 25 minutes. However, the Huskies scored 2 quick goals in the last 10 minutes that made the score 4 - 0. The JV Cougars next play against Elkhart Christian Academy on Saturday, September 6th at 9:00 AM CST.
