The New Prairie Cougars picked up another strong win Monday night, sweeping Marquette 5-0 in varsity action. #1 Singles: Braden Bachmann defeated Ellis Durham 6-4, 6-4. #2 Singles: Jon Woodham battled his way to a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Evan Lahart. #3 Singles: Austin Bishop continued his strong play with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Grant Wolford. In doubles, Gabe Banicki and Manny Medina won a competitive first set before pulling away for a 7-5, 6-0 victory. Grayson Goodman and Ell McDonald completed the varsity sweep with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win. The Cougars also got valuable court time from the JV lineup, with Riley Wilczynski and Joey Smith earning a 6-0 win and Westley Newman and Konner Collins picking up a 6-2 victory. New Prairie improves to 10-6 on the season and gets right back to work tomorrow, traveling to Elkhart for a 4:00 PM match.
