The Lady Cougars returned home after a long road stretch hosting LaPorte on Saturday afternoon. Another slow shooting day stung the team in the end but high defensive intensity kept the game close after the 1st quarter only trailing by 1. The 2nd quarter was much the same on the offensive end but defensively the team didn't let up. Heading into the 3rd quarter, junior Emma Deutscher provided a spark with multiple hustle plays and scoring 4 of her 6 total points in that quarter. Sophomore Brooklynne Shepherd also chipped in 6 points for the squad. Senior Envy Hesch and junior Chloe Deutscher had 4 points each, Freshman Kenzie Griffiths and sophomore Bailey Futa had 2 points each, and sophomore Alex Ellett and senior Hannah Hawkins Wiesner had 1 point.
